I have personally lost twenty pounds this fall - most of it in two, one-week sessions. Yes, I lost ten pounds in each of those weeks.
How did I do that?
- measure out my food
- count calories
- increase my activity
- use any kind of diet pill
- see my doctor
- go on a special diet.. of any kind.
Instead, I was sitting and watching a dvd, and following along with the presenter as she tapped on her hand, her head, her face, and her chest.
You see, the first thing I learned, when I decided I "looked hideous" this summer (I saw myself on video for the first time in years), was that overweightness is caused by emotional issues. It makes sense, doesn't it? You're insecure about (whatever), and the first thing most of us do is reach for food. It makes the pain disappear, at least for a while.
Then those calories start adding up. We know we're gaining weight, and that causes more issues, so we resort to what (temporarily) fixed it last time... more food.
I started using EFT. I did the tapping and the talking, and I lost ten pounds the first week. Then I went a couple of months, as I had an issue with my sister. I really think SHE had an issue with ME - my weight loss was threatening to her, as she's much more overweight than I. We temporarily resolved it, and I dropped another ten pounds the following week.
So, my tip for this morning is:
- Pick up your copy of the EFT Specialty Series I DVD set.
- drink a glass of fresh water
- tap for a couple of rounds before you start salivating over each meal. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes!
